Our Mission
Founded in 1966, Leverett Crafts & Arts is a nonprofit organization helping emerging artists get a start and established artists the opportunity to express their creativity in a beautiful setting. Leverett Crafts & Arts offers studio space at affordable prices and space for exhibitions, performances, public and private events, classes and workshops. Our resident artists bring a wealth of creative ideas and energy to Leverett and our surrounding community.
Leverett Crafts & Arts is a focal point for cultural life in the community of Leverett and the larger Pioneer Valley.
LCA sponsored events include artist exhibitions, musical and dance performances, historical and cultural talks, and other special & educational presentations.

LCA artists and craftspeople offer educational classes and workshops on such topics as ceramics, painting, printmaking, figure drawing, book binding, and sketching.
LCA facilities include our resident artist studios, the Mudpie Community Clay Center, a multi purpose classroom, and the Barnes and Hall Galleries.
The Barnes Gallery is classic post & beam architectural space. With 1,280 square feet of gallery space, plentiful natural light, and a section of two story ceiling height, the Barnes gallery can accommodate a vast range of artforms. The adjacent Hall Gallery is a 350 square-foot exhibit room.
Exhibitions in both galleries rotate every four to six weeks. Individual and group shows often include formal and informal presentations by artists concerning their creative process, as well as complementary instructional workshops that focus on the craft or art medium highlighted in the exhibit.
The Barnes Gallery is available for larger events.
The classroom is available for smaller meetings or creative workshops.
The Gallery and classroom can be rented by the day or by the hour.
